Hi, I'm Austen! I'm a philosophy Ph.D. candidate at Stanford, working primarily on the philosophy of language and philosophy of logic. My dissertation focuses on vagueness and the various ways we use formalism to model language use. Beyond that, my interests are pretty eclectic and I have projections in various stages of completion on AI, deflationary accounts of truth, and physicalism.

When I'm not doing philosophy I'm probably watching a baseball game, fiddling with a camera, or eating ice cream.
